ALERT Canine Allergic Tendency Reference Test (tIgE)
A rapid screening tool targeting serum free-Total IgE (Total immunoglobulin E) in dogs indicates a positive reaction when the free Total IgE in the allergic dog's body exceeds 10 μg/ml. This suggests that the dog's allergic reaction may be related to IgE-mediated allergy and elevated Total IgE levels as well.
Canine allergy testing is an auxiliary tool that can provide preliminary screening when a veterinarian highly suspects a dog may have allergic diseases. However, considering the different immune-mediated mechanisms and individual patient variability, to more accurately understand IgE-mediated allergic reactions in dogs, it is necessary to further use the Specific IgE allergen detection panels. Blood samples should be collected during the onset period and tested, and food elimination trials should be conducted to confirm whether the patient has food allergies. This can help more thoroughly investigate common environmental and food allergen reactions in the patient

Principle of the Reagent
This test utilizes immunoassay technology combined with the lateral flow principle. A highly specific anti-canine IgE antibody is immobilized on the test line, while colloidal gold nanoparticles are used as the colorimetric reagent. The test detects whether the total IgE (tIgE) level in the sample exceeds the threshold level.
